Within 48 hours a restricted carbohydrate diet
will lead to you converting your own fat to energy.
Metabolizing fat induces a state referred to as ketosis
and generates a metabolic product known as
ketones. With ketosis, appetite is diminished and
carbohydrate cravings will disappear.
Q: If fruit is supposed to be so healthy, why
does the program allow almost none of it?

Fruit is healthy and it is the intention of
Herbalife’s healthy way of life to return to the
consumption of fruit. During the initiation of a lowcarbohydrate
diet, fruit is restricted because it
contains naturally occurring sugar, which will stimulate
insulin and reduce the effectiveness of the diet. Within
a short time, when you achieve your weight goals,
fruit rather than bread, pasta or potatoes will be one
of the first things that we reintroduce. It is important to
remember to eat fruit in its whole form, because the
beneficial fiber, phytonutrients and antioxidants are

that you consume fruit juices.
Q: Are there any extra Herbalife supplements

pasta and baked potatoes, but more intelligently.
Whole-grain breads and whole-grain pasta should be
your choices, and focus on consuming the potato
skins. Don’t mash or fry your potatoes, and you’ll
certainly be able to enjoy them again. A baked potato
with some of the white removed and an addition of
salsa can be a healthy option. Those individuals who
are successful with the low-carbohydrate approach to
weight loss should maintain a moderate carbohydrate
intake for life in order to maintain their ideal weight.
