Did You Know?
Studies have shown that increased consumption of fish oil reduces the incidence of sudden death and cardiac death in general. Other studies demonstrated a reduction of stroke, particularly in women. Another study documented a reduced risk of blockage of vein grafts in people who have had coronary artery bypass surgery. Higher consumption of fish reduces the risk of developing age-related macular degeneration. There is also evidence that higher levels of Omega3 fatty acids are protective against the development of depression.

Omega-3 Fatty Acids May Prevent Heart Disease
American Journal of Clinical Nutrition
There is evidence that Omega-3 fatty acids in fish oil appear to aid in the prevention
of coronary artery disease6. A new study, published in the American Journal of
Clinical Nutrition, examined the role of Omega-3 fatty acids in improving systolic
blood pressure and decreasing vascular resistance, effects that may reduce the risk
of heart disease and cardiac events.
The research focused on two forms of Omega-
3 fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), and on
systemic arterial compliance, a measure of the elasticity of blood vessels. Increased
stiffness in large arteries can lead to high blood pressure, which may contribute to
increased coronary risk1. Thirty-eight men and women with elevated plasma
total cholesterol consumed either supplements or placebos in a seven-week
dietary intervention. Systemic arterial compliance rose 27% to 36% in the
group that took supplements, which was a trend toward reduced systolic and
pulse pressure. The supplement groups also experienced significant declines
in triglycerides.
Herbalifeline® is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, which supplies
a full spectrum of marine lipids to help maximize heart health.*
