Q: Diets never work for me–I always seem to gain
the weight back. Why should an Herbalife Weight-
Management Program be any different?
A:
Herbalife’s weight-management programs are
based on principles of nutritional science, formulated
to provide the necessary micronutrients your body
requires. We recommend two shakes per day as
meal replacements along with one balanced meal
for weight loss. Our Cellular Nutrition® supplements

simply replace one of the shakes with a small, sensible
meal and continue your Herbalife supplements, and

Q: I’d like to exercise, but I suffer from rheumatoid
arthritis, which makes high-impact sports out of the
question. Are there any nutritional supplements that
could help me?
A:
Studies have confirmed the powerful effects
of glucosamine on joint and cartilage health and
function. Herbalife’s Joint Support–Glucosamine with
Herbs provides a healthy amount of glucosamine
along with other joint-supporting ingredients
including MSM and quercetin.* Omega-3 fatty acids
(found in Herbalifeline®) as well as aloe vera (Herbal
Aloe Drink and Herbal Aloe Concentrate) can also provide
nutritional support.* Of course, if you are overweight,
weight loss can be very beneficial in relieving stress
to your joints. Whether you have rheumatoid arthritis

Q: How can I improve my digestion and absorption of
protein?
A:
Protein is a difficult nutrient to digest, which is
why we created our patented enzyme product,Aminogen®,
to assist in this process.* Take one tablet
with your shakes or Thermojetics® Gold High-Protein,
Low-Carb foods and at least two tablets with each
protein-containing meal. Herbal Aloe Drink and
Herbal Aloe Concentrate are a soothing, digestive
tonic and a great addition for anyone desiring
optimum digestion. Fiber intake improves colon
function primarily, but good colon function plays a role
in digestion as well. Start with Florafiber and add Active Fiber if you are
following the Thermojetics® Gold High-Protein, Low-Carb Program or are not getting the necessary 25
grams of fiber a day.
Q: I seem to suffer from constipation. What products
should I use to lessen this?
A:
Two of the most essential ingredients for
good colon function–thus minimizing one’s tendency
to become constipated–are fiber intake and water
intake. And as you add fiber supplements and
increase your intake of fruit, raw vegetables and
whole grains, you must drink six to eight glasses
of water per day. Herbalife’s Active Fiber powder is
a quick and easy way to increase fiber in your diet.
Just add two teaspoons to each shake or mix in a
glass of water or Herbal Aloe Vera Drink twice daily, and you’ve
taken care of nearly half your daily fiber needs. Add
one Florafiber tablet three times a day along with
daily usage of Herbal Aloe Drink (or Concentrate).

Q: Can I lose weight without exercising on an Herbalife
Weight-Management Program?
A:
Yes, although exercise can certainly increase
one’s rate of weight loss. Simply try adding 15 to
20 minutes of some activity into your life on a daily
basis and you should notice increased energy as well
as faster weight loss. For example, put music on
while you do your housework, turn off the TV and go
for a walk or park your car at the far end of the
parking lot.
Q: How much weight can I lose on the Thermojetics®
Green or Gold Weight-Management Programs?
A:
Weight-loss rates vary greatly from person to
person. If you have 40 to 50 pounds or more to lose,
you may lose five to 10 pounds in the first week,
whereas someone needing to lose 20 to 30 pounds
will generally lose less initially, in the range of two to
five pounds. Weight loss is usually faster on a lowcarbohydrate
plan such as our Thermojetics® Gold High-Protein, Low-Carb Program (about two to four pounds a week), compared
to meal-replacement plans such as our Thermojetics® Green Weight Loss Program (typically one to two pounds a week).
